Using Spotify on the Radio

We highly recommend that you use the station’s Spotify Premium if you want to play music on WQAQ: it’s effective, convenient, and you can plan ahead from home! Here’s what you need to do to start using Spotify on your radio show:

Before your Show

  1. If you don’t already have it, download Spotify and make a free account
  2. Make sure that your profile is PUBLIC
    • If it’s not public, you won’t be able to find it on WQAQ’s Spotify
    • You can change your Profile’s privacy by:
      • Going to Preferences>Profile>Automatically Make New Playlists Public (this needs to be on)
  3. Create a playlist
    • Name it something that’s easy to identify, like the name of your show and the date
  4. Put all of your songs for that show into the playlist
    • If you change any of the songs during the show, it will update, so if you want to add a song, don’t worry.

In the Studio

  1. Go on the computer and open Spotify
  2. In the search bar, type your name
    • It might take you a bit, but you should be able to find yourself if your profile is public
    • Feel free to have the Radio Station Spotify (Wendy QAQ) follow your profile; it makes it easier later on
  3. You should now have access to all your playlists! Enjoy your show!
